The Authors Guild will host a webinar titled “From Manuscript to Marketplace: WE DESERVE TO HEAL.” The discussion will focus on the essay collection *We Deserve to Heal*, and will feature author and editor Patrice Gopo and senior acquisitions editor Abby Freeland. They will discuss the book’s conception, composition, editorial process, and launch. The panel will also discuss the current landscape for essay collections and anthologies. Topics include assembling contributors, compensating contributors, shifting gears from writer to editor, finding the right publisher, engaging with the editorial process, and marketing an anthology. A Q&A will follow the presentation, and a recording will be available.
