My simple book launch strategy (what’s actually worked for me)

A KDP author shared a book launch strategy that focuses on creating a high-quality, well-researched book. The author uploads A+ Content as soon as the book goes live and starts with auto ads once everything is set up. If the book starts getting sales, the author keeps ads running; if it doesn’t get any sales after a few weeks, ads are turned off. The author adds a simple review request inside the book and occasionally tweaks the listing later if potential is seen. The author lets Amazon data + ads indicate what’s worth scaling, rather than forcing every book to work.
- I focus heavily on creating a high-quality, well-researched book (this is honestly 90% of it)
- I upload A+ Content as soon as the book goes live
- Add a simple review request inside the book (beginning + end)
📚 BookAddict’s Take: If you’re an indie author struggling with launches, this simple, data-driven approach could be a refreshing alternative to elaborate marketing campaigns.
