New Owner at Saltwater Bookstore, Marblehead, Mass.; Indies Open in Ill., Tex.; RIP Len Deigh
Saltwater Bookstore in Marblehead, Mass., which opened in 2023, has a new owner. Founder Laura Cooper is passing ownership to Joe Navarre, one of the shop’s booksellers. Cooper described her time as owner as “an amazing experience” and said the store is ready for its next chapter. She expressed confidence in Navarre’s expertise and personable nature. Navarre said he is honored to continue the story of the bookstore and that the heart of Saltwater will remain the same. He plans to introduce new community events such as book clubs and children’s story hours.
