The Sheep Detectives Trailer Looks Flocking Delightful

A movie adaptation of Leonie Swann’s book, previously known as Three Bags Full, is now titled The Sheep Detectives. The movie follows sheep who turn into detectives after a murder. The cast includes Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Bryan Cranston, Chris O’Dowd, Regina Hall, Patrick Stewart, Rhys Darby, and Brett Goldstein as the voices of sheep. Nicholas Galitzine appears to be playing a reporter, while Nicholas Braun, Molly Gordon, Hong Chau, and Emma Thompson are playing human characters. Craig Mazin, known for Chernobyl and The Last of Us, wrote the movie, and Kyle Balda, a director of the Minions films, directed it. The movie is scheduled to arrive in theaters on May 8.

  • Swann’s series is called The Sheep Detectives, and let’s be honest: the name makes sense.
  • There are sheep. They become detectives.
  • Quite a few voices here will be immediately recognizable—what’s up, Chris O’Dowd?—and the cast is fantastic, whether you see their faces or not.
📚 BookAddict’s Take: If you enjoy quirky adaptations with impressive voice casts, this movie seems worth watching. The combination of a serious writer like Craig Mazin with the director of Minions could be surprisingly fun.
